Thinking about
becoming a police officer?

The Missouri Western State University Regional Law Enforcement Academy is certified by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Peace Officer's Standards and Training Commission, as a certified academy.

Two basic police academy classes are held per year. Enrollment is limited to 45 cadets per class.

The program lasts approximately 23 weeks, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and meets and exceeds the State of Missouri's minimum basic training requirements for peace officer certification.

 

NEWS & NOTES


Firearms Training Simulator (F.A.T.S.) - November 18 - This is a four hour basic course on the Firearms Training Simulator. Marksmanship skills and "shoot, don't shoot" training is the focus of this class.


TASER Certification - November 19


Drug Identification - December 4


The next academy begins in January 19, 2010. Enroll before January 4.
