
Western Institute offers a variety of dual enrollment opportunities for high school juniors and seniors. High school college credit courses enrich and extend the high school curriculum, provide introductory college course work at about half the cost of college tuition, challenge students, and introduce students to MWSU. Subject areas include Math, Biology, Psychology, History, English, Engineering, Chemistry, French and Spanish.
Courses are offered via the following methods:
Traditional High School College Credit College general education courses taught in high schools by high school teachers.
Distance Education
Courses taught by MWSU faculty online, via cable television, videotape,
combination of online and video, and other video delivery systems to high school students for high school college credit.
Combination Video/Face-to-Face Classes
Combination of video lectures from a MWSU faculty
member and the skills of the high school teacher
to conduct the labs in the high school and
supplement the video instruction. |
