This course has been developed to provide instruction in the selection, understanding and research-based information needed to purchase/develop instructional materials for the ESL classroom. Included in this course will be information regarding the various assessments, formal and informal, that are available for use with ESL students. This class will use, discuss, and evaluate these assessments as to their reliability, information gathered, and time required to complete the assessment process.
