To empower adults to achieve their employment, family and life goals by improving their literacy skills and to increase awareness of literacy needs in our community.
Pass the Power offers free individualized tutoring for adults who want to improve their reading, writing, basic math, English language skills or to prepare for the GED.
Pass the Power matches trained volunteer tutors with adult learners.

The Letters for Literacy Project will help to ensure that Pass the Power can continue to train community volunteers to tutor in reading, writing and math. Sponsorship of a letter will help to improve adult literacy in our community.
Pass the Power Offers Free Citizenship Classes
We have moved! Pass The Power Adult Literacy is now located at the Downtown University Center at Sixth and Robidoux Streets in downtown St. Joseph.
