BECOME A VOLUNTEER
It is so easy! Simply download the forms and information from our website, give us a call at 816-271-4113, or stop by the office.
We are happy to speak with you about what is involved in volunteering at Pass the Power Adult Literacy.
To become a tutor, you will need to complete a 12-hour pre-service training. Trainings are scheduled for each quarter.
There are morning, evening and on-line options available.
Because space is limited in each session, we must receive your application to reserve your spot.
To register for the pre-service training, you will need to do the following:
- Check the training schedule. You need to attend all four classes in each session. Make-up classes can be scheduled should you miss one.
- Complete the Tutor Application Form [pdf] and e-mail, mail or fax it back to Pass the Power.
You will be contacted one week before the training session to confirm your registration.
