The Center for Community Arts provides high-quality arts, culture and literacy enrichment for community members of all ages.

Missouri Western State University is committed to maintaining the high standard of arts and cultural opportunities it offers the community through the Center for Community Arts. We are looking forward to strengthening and expanding the impact of the arts in our area.

Western Receives Art Grant: The Missouri Arts Council approved a grant to provide a sound system for Downtown University Center. The funds will help support arts events and activities at the downtown location.

Arts and Crafts Classes
Western Institute offers arts and crafts classes for all ages including pottery, stained glass, knitting, sketching, drawing, painting and many others.

Music Classes
Music classes cover a variety of programs from vocal and instrumental lessons including Suzuki Method and Griffon Junior Singers.

Fitness Classes
Hatha Yoga is a great way to improve flexibility, tone and circulation, while at the same time decreasing stress effects.

Creative Writing Classes
Many write for the sheer pleasure of it, while others dream of getting published. Creative Writing classes show you how to get your creations into the hands of editors.

Dance and
Theatre Classes
Learn swing, cha-cha, foxtrot, waltz or clogging through a variety of dance classes. Children's Theatre Workshop allows kids to develop acting techniques and create a play for family and friends.
