An award winning choral ensemble co-sponsored by the Center for Community Arts and the St. Joseph School District. Two choirs are offered: Prelude (grades 2-5) and Premiere (grades 6-10).
Symphonic Youth Orchestra
Join other local musicians and play in an orchestra! String, woodwind, brass and percussion musicians are needed! Directed by Sarah Cool.
Welcome! We are pleased that you are considering enriching your children’s lives by engaging in our music programs. The Center for Community Arts is committed to providing opportunities that will allow its participants to develop a lifelong appreciation of music and the arts.
The CCA currently enrolls students in programs such as Griffon Junior Singers and Symphonic Youth Orchestra. Through these programs, we are proud to provide long-term arts education opportunities to St. Joseph and the surrounding communities.
Our music instructors are approved through the MWSU music department, and are committed to providing experiences that will make learning music rewarding and enjoyable.
Our outreach programs include financial assistance for underserved students, performances at area elementary schools, assisted living centers and nursing homes. Students perform regularly at numerous community activities and hold several concerts open to the public each year.
